"This research investigates the factors causing a young ex-convict to reoffend in narcotic crime. The data obtained from the youth detention centre of Blitar which reports the number of repeat offenders involved in the crime implies that narcotic abuse is also common among young people. This is contrary to what has been believed that children are responsible for the future of the nation. With an empirical method, criminology and socio-juridical approach, this research indicates that the causing factors triggering a young ex-convict to reoffend constitute internal factors (age, perspective, religion, and understanding of law), external factors (family, economics, and environment), and other factors represented by the young ex-convicts per se...
